1.    Rules

1.1        The 2011 Cleveland Cup is separate from any established CSA series. The race is open to CSA registered yachts that have competed in any 1 CSA designated event. The invitational is a single race for PHRF and JAM classes.

1.2        The race is governed by the 2009-2012 Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS), the prescriptions of the United States Sailing Association (USSA), the rules of the participating classes, except as any of these are changed by this Notice of Race or the Sailing Instructions.

1.3        PHRF-Lake Erie ratings, rules and rulings apply to all PHRF and JAM rated boats.

1.4        A class will have a minimum of 3 boats.

 

2. Eligibility & Entry

2.1        The race is open to any boat registered in the CSA for any 2011 sailing series, in good

standing, and have competed in at least one (1) CSA designated event.

 

3. Racing Area

3.1          The race will take place on Lake Erie, north of Edgewater Yacht Club.

 

4. Schedule of Race

4.1          Saturday, September 17, 2011.

4.2          The warning signal for the first start will be 1025 hrs

4.3          There will be a mandatory skippers meeting at 0915 hrs.

 

5. Sailing Instructions

5.1        The Sailing Instructions will be available at the skippers meeting on September 17, 2011. 

6. Scoring

6.1          The race will be scored using the low point system.

 

7. Prizes

7.1          Prizes will be awarded for first, second and third places for classes that have at least 5 boats.

7.2          Prizes will be awarded for first and second places for classes that have 4 boats
